FRANCESCA GIRONI

Danzatrice e poeta, attiva nella scena della poesia performativa, esplora il confine tra danza e poesia.
Ha pubblicato due raccolte di poesie: Il diretto interessato (Marco Saya Editore 2021, Premio Bologna in Lettere) e Abbattere i costi (Miraggi, 2016).
Con la raccolta inedita A è finalista al Premio Nazionale Elio Pagliarani.
Nel 2022 è ospite del Festival Polifonie Urbane, Università Sorbonne Nouvelle. La sua ultima performance GPTƏ (2022) indaga il rapporto donna-intelligenza artificiale e i bias di genere nella programmazione degli algoritmi. Nel 2021 lavora alla performance di danza e poesia partecipata Come farò a sollevarti / senza braccia. Con CTRL ZETA vince il premio internazionale di arti performative CROSSaward 2017. Nello stesso anno è stata ospite del Festival Spoken Word Madrid.
Dal 2016 porta in scena la sua performance di poesia in locali, clubs, teatri, musei e festival e partecipa a numerosi poetry slam.
Le sue videopoesie sono state selezionate in contesti di videopoesia e videodanza in Italia e all’estero. Come danzatrice e coreografa è stata ospite di festival di arti performative e residenze artistiche esplorando l’ibridazione tra i linguaggi.

Poet and dance artist, active in the performance poetry scene, she explores the boundary between dance and poetry.
She has published two poetry books, Il diretto interessato (Marco Saya Editore 2021, Bologna in Lettere Prize) and Abbattere i costi (Miraggi, 2016). With the unpublished work A, she is a finalist for the Elio Pagliarani National Prize.
In 2022 she was guest of Polifonie Urbane Festival, Sorbonne Nouvelle University, Paris.
Her latest performance GPTƏ investigates the woman-artificial intelligence relationship and gender bias in algorithm programming. In 2021 she worked on the participatory dance and poetry performance How shall I lift you / without arms. With CTRL ZETA, a performance of poetry and dance, she won the 2017 CROSSaward International Performing Arts Prize. In the same year she was a guest artist at the Spoken Word Madrid Festival.
Since 2016 she has been performing poetry in venues, clubs, theaters, museums and festivals and taking part in several poetry slams. Her poetry films have been selected in video poetry and video dance festivals in Italy and abroad. As a dancer and choreographer, she has been a guest at performing arts festivals and art residencies exploring hybridization between languages.
